Dr. Ashley Cavalier and Atlantic Shore Dermatology
Ashley Cavalier, M.D. is a board certified dermatologist
who performs adult and pediatric general dermatology, cosmetic
dermatology, skin cancer treatment, and dermatopathology.
Dr. Cavalier is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology,
an active member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society,
a fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery
and a diplomat to the American Board of Dermatology. Dr.
Cavalier is a native of LaGrange, Georgia who received her
medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. She
then completed an internal medicine internship and a dermatology
residency at Drexel University (formerly Medical College
of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann Hospitals) in Philadelphia.
After residency she worked in private practice in general
and cosmetic dermatology outside of Philadelphia and served
as dermatology faculty at Drexel University School of Medicine.
She then worked in private practice in Louisville, Kentucky
with a nationally known dermatology group, where in addition
to her practice of adult and pediatric general dermatology,
she served as an investigator for clinical trials with emerging
medicines and technologies in psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis
and acne. In 2005, Dr, Cavalier founded Atlantic Shore Dermatology
to provide dermatologic health care to the Golden Isles
area. Her practice on Saint Simons Island provides comprehensive
skin care for the entire family. She performs skin cancer
screening, mole evaluation, cosmetic dermatology, treatment
of inflammatory skin conditions and also enjoys treating
the pediatric population.
Dr. Cavalier trained with many
leaders in the field of cosmetic dermatology and now trains
physicians on various cosmetic procedures. She offers
many options for facial rejuvenation and anti-aging. Cosmetic
services that Dr. Cavalier performs include chemical peels
for the treatment of superficial lines, dyspigmentation
and acne scarring, Botox® injections for the treatment
of persistent expression wrinkles onthe forehead and around
the eyes, filler injections (collagen, Restylane®,
Juvederm, Radiesse and Sculptra) for persistent lines
and wrinkles on the lower face, sclerotherapy for the
treatment of spider veins on the legs and numerous LASER
treatments. Dr. Cavalier has much experience performing
all of these safe and well tolerated treatments.
